Maria Fernanda Murialdo

Maria Fernanda Murialdo is a fully Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA). She holds qualifications in a Bachelor of Psychology and Postgraduate Certificate of Professional Psychology. Fernanda, as she prefers to be called, is an approved NDIS provider, in both therapy and specialist behaviour management. Previously, Fernanda was employed as a senior psychologist, in a non-government organisation, providing behaviour intervention support for families and support staff in accommodation settings, supporting day programs and transition to work programs. Further, she has run workshops focusing on sensory integration, working with people of different abilities and complex mental health. Prior to her obtaining her registration, she assisted with the role out of the Early Intervention Brighter Futures program. This included case management and counselling or therapy for young parents and their children. She has also worked in the private sector with children, adolescents and adults.

Fernanda also has extensive experience in supporting individuals across their life span in the disability sector including individuals with an intellectual disability, genetic developmental disorders, acquired brain injuries and physical disabilities. She has found her passion with regards to behaviour support and minimising restrictive practices and its impacts.
​
Fernanda is also a board approved supervisor and has capacity to support intern psychologists meet their supervision requirements. Further, she has supported other organisations with debrief support and group supervision.

Fernanda Murialdo acknowledges Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future. We acknowledge the ongoing connection Aboriginal people have to this land and recognize Aboriginal people as the original custodians of this land.
